A Closer Look at ADD’s Electronic Lien & Title Services
for Financial on Thursday, February 4, 2016 by Ashten MaysAttention Florida lienholders and dealers, did you know that ADD has some useful forms available through the forms completion tool found in your ELT manifest? All forms completed using this tool (except for the Notice to Surrender which can be mailed through the DirectPost-Office) should be printed out, checked for accuracy, and any needed signatures. Then you can mail or take it to the appropriate office of the DMV.
REPOSSESSION TITLE APPLICATION [HSMV 82040] This is a multi-use form, often used by lienholders for Repossession Declaration. To access, select this form from your drop-down menu on the specific electronic lien title in your ELT manifest. Type in the information and then open the .pdf file by clicking the “Save” button and print. Now it is ready to be taken to the tag office!
LIEN ASSIGNMENT [HSMV 82139] The HSMV 82139 can also be used for multiple purposes. After choosing from, “Application for Notice of Lien/Reassignment of Lien,” or “Notice to First Lienholder,” or “Subsequent Lien”, complete the desired form.
Once completed, ensure that the lienholder’s name, address and DHSMV Customer Number are correctly entered on the form.
NOTICE TO SURRENDER/NOTICE OR DISCHARGE OF REPO/RECOVERY ATTEMPT With ADD, you are able to use our DirectPost-Office (DPO) mailing system to aid and simplify the Notice to Surrender process. To use, activate your DPO in your ADD account if you have not previously used this service. Simply click on the “DirectPost-Office” tab and review the Terms of Use. There is no added charge for activating your DPO.
To perform the Notice to Surrender and the associated Notice or Discharge of Repo Recovery letters, access the record via your ELT manifest or archive, then select Notice to Surrender as the form to open. Complete the form then have it sent out using DPO.
You can also perform and complete the Discharge Stop using the same form but instead selecting Discharge Stop.
