Florida Registration Fees Are Going Down

for Auto Dealers, Financial and Repossession Agency on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 by Mike Samaan

Great news for Florida consumers and dealers! Senate Bill 156 containing a $400 million registration fee reduction has passed and was signed into law on April 2 by Governor Scott.

The fee reductions will take effect on September 1, 2014.

ADD’s Florida Fee Calculator will be updated with the new fee structure for September 1st.

If you are an ADDTag user, please take the opportunity to click on ADD’s newly updated Florida Fee Calculator tab and try it out. Powered by real-time Florida motor vehicle record information, the cost is only $1.00 per calculation, and will allow you to automatically transfer the customer and vehicle information to ADDTag in order to complete your temporary tag or temporary metal plate transfer transaction, saving you extra key strokes.

Just like all of ADD’s easy-to-use services, your fee calculations will be archived in your ADD account for 90 days.

Please keep in mind that the Florida Title and Registration fee table is extremely complex, and entering “bad” information, such as a wrong filing date or an incorrect vehicle weight, can cause the calculation to be inaccurate.
