ADDTag is your one stop shop for issuing temporary or permanent tags to your customers. Auto Data Direct is consistently adding new and exciting features to make your life as a dealer easier and to make the process of issuing your customer a tag as accurate and fast as possible.

What is ETR? The Electronic Temporary Registration system is the DMV system that allows dealers to electronically issue temporary tags and report offline issuances.

What is EFS and how do I sign up for it? The Electronic Filing System gives dealers the ability to submit title, registration and lien recordings electronically to the tax collector and issue permanent metal plates or perform metal plate transfers at point of sale. Additionally, the title and registration fees are automatically paid to the tax collector from your bank account and you can instantly provide your customer an accurate-to-the-cent title and registration fee breakdown so that you can avoid under or overcharging your customers.

How do I start an issuance? On the left side of your screen click the green +NEW button. Click the dropdown menu next to “Issuance Type” to be able to choose Print on Demand, Temporary Transfer, or Offline Issuance. If you are an EFS dealer, you may also start your Permanent Title/Registration issuance from here.

How do I order tags? Find the green +NEW button and follow the buttons to right where you can see the “Temp Tag Stock” button. On the right side of your screen you will see “Temp Tag Stock Management” where you can activate tags, order new tags, and view your inventory of currently active temporary tags.

What else can ADDTag do? From any temporary tag issued, ADD will help you generate forms you may need for your permanent title and registration from the “Additional Forms” button. Here you will find practically every form you would need to complete your permanent title and registration at your local tag agency. Or you can sign up for EFS and complete the whole process from the comfort of your office!
